What
a wonderful local gallery for our spotlight this quarter! The Trunkspace,
located at 1506 N. West Grand Ave., is one of the "Grand Ave."
galleries which can be found on the First Friday's Art Walk map.
On
a bright Sunday afternoon in September, I visited the gallery. Things
were being moved and readied for the incoming artists. JRC shared
some information about the gallery and the processes involved with
exhibiting at Trunkspace.
The
Trunkspace hosts live entertainment, alternative theater, performance
art, music as well as visual artists in the gallery spaces. The
gallery has been operating for about a year and a half, it's owners
are JRC along with co-owner Stephanie Carrico. Interested artists
can contact the gallery owners through email @ thetrunkspace@yahoo.com
or by visiting their web site : www://http:thetrunkspace.com.
Artists
showing in October are:
- Edward
Luce and Karolina Sussland -

During
my visit I made a few digital photos
of the fabulous quilt work by Susan G. Whiter and glaze on ceramic
tile work by Alan Jones which was showing in September:
