Hello,
I'm Randy Anderson. I've been woodworking for about 13 years, and have been working with the scroll saw for about 6 years. Mainly I've been doing it in my time off as a hobby. Lately my hobby is turning into a successful business. The method I use is called Intarsia. Its a process of using different kinds of wood species, and varying grain direction to create a design or a picture. You can see some of my woodworking art at www.randyswoods.com . Currently I'm in the Air Force and I like to use my wood art as a relaxation therapy. Enjoy my photos of my latest works. Feel free to contact me for anything special you would like to have custom made.

Wooden Roses: These are my design. I use a method called "Compound Cutting" to create the 3D design. Its all cut from Red Oak. The petals I used red t-shirt dye to bring out a natural look. My roses turn out so natural that at first glance at them in a vase, you'll think they were regular roses. They are very popular around the holiday season, valentines, and mothers day.

Claddagh Ring: I was asked to make this Claddagh Wedding Ring design for a couple here in Phoenix that were married on St Patrick's day. I made this from African Paduke, Walnut, Pine, Oak, and a Maple Burl from Mt St Helens volcano. I'm sure this luck couple will hang this custom design on their wall for many years to come. I really enjoyed making this unique design.

Ohten: Ohten is a mythical creature designed by CB Designs. Toni Burgout, and Sue Christensen are well known in the scroll saw world for their unique approach to design. They asked me to make this Ohten design for their book that is being published by Fox Publishing, and is due out in the fall.

Icarius: Icarius is another mythical creature designed by CB Designs. I picked out the wood tones to make this horse creature more dragon like. I used African Paduke, with Oak and Pine to accent its features. This design is also going to be featured in a book published this fall by Fox Publishing.

IseeherIseeher: Iseeher is also designed by CB Designs. I used African Paduke, Walnut, Pine and Oak to make this design. I really love using African Paduke. The bright red color really makes a project have that extra punch. This will be in a western design book also being published in the Fall by Fox Publishing.
