I see art as a physical manifestation of thought and emotion; a concrete representation of abstract feelings and concepts. The different media I choose, and the variations in style and subject matter, are a reflection of my feelings at the time of creation. Just as what I create is influenced both consciously and subconsciously by my own emotions, culture, experiences and personality, each viewer will respond to my art through their own complex filters of personal life experience. Therefore, I make no claims or explanation about my art except that it exists. Look at it, think about it, and interpret it as you wish.

I am an Artist, a teacher, an experiencer of life. I work in an assortment of styles and media. I do portraits from photographs in acrylics and alkyds, abstracts in acrylics and mixed media, experimental works on paper, drawings in colored pencil, traditional and alternative process photographic images.

I teach in various locations in Central Phoenix and am available for private lessons in painting and drawing (Graphite and Colored Pencil).
